ScourStop transition mat is a biotechnical replacement for hard armor. It is a mechanically-anchored 4 ft. X 4 ft. X .5 inch semi-rigid, polymer mat designed with voids throughout the structure which enable vegetative growth. Transition mats provide mechanical protection over highly erosive areas; like stormwater pipe outfalls, curb outfalls, over-flow structures, and shorelines. Transition mats provide protection against much higher shear stress and velocities than vegetation alone or rock rip rap; and are comparable in performance to Articulated Concrete Blocks.

Underground Stormwater Retention, Detention or Harvesting

Rainstore3 is a plastic structure used to store stormwater underground. Made from injection molded plastic, a single panel contains 36 vertical columns and exceeds H-20 loading, allowing the construction of driving areas, parking lots, or other small structures above the system. Built-in compression fittings allow units to be easily stacked to a variety of depths up to 8'4".

The Rainstore3 modular system is more efficient at storing and recharging water than arched chambers and corrugated plastic or metal pipe. Rainstore3 is less expensive than concrete vault chamber.

Porous (pervious, permeable) Pavement System

Gravelpave2 porous paving allows you to park, drive, walk, or ride on a beautiful decorative gravel surface.

Gravelpave2 is a structure to provide heavy load bearing support and true containment of gravel to create a porous surface with unlimited traffic volume and/or duration time for parking. The system can be used for storage and filtration of rainwater. For example, a cross-section with an 12" deep base course (at 20% void space) and the one inch of Gravelapve2 (at 35%) would store 2.75" of rain. Although bacteria concentrations are lower than with Grasspave2, polluted runoff and vehicle drippings are consumed prior to reaching the water table.

Porous (permeable, pervious) Pavement System

Grasspave2 porous paving allows you to park, drive, walk, ride, or lounge on a beautiful grass surface. It performs the functions of asphalt or concrete pavement, but with the aesthetics of a lawn – all while enhancing the environment.

Grasspave2 is a structure which provides incredible load bearing strength while protecting vegetation root systems from deadly compaction. High void spaces within the entire cross-section enable excellent root development, and storage capacity for rainfall from storm events. For example, a 13 inch cross-section (one inch Grasspave2 with sand and a 12 inch base course) can store 2.6 inches of water - 13 inches x approx. 20% void space). Stormwater is slowed in movement through and across Grasspave2 surfaces, which deposits suspended sediment and increases time to discharge. Suspended pollutants and moderate amounts of engine oils are consumed by active soil bacteria, which are aided by the system’s excellent oxygen exchange capacity.

PAM-12 is a cost effective soil-stabilizing amendment. The granules serve as a carrier, delivery system, and tracer for a proven erosion control polymer.

AGES Wave Blockers are made from 100% UV stable polypropylene. They are provided in sections and quickly assembled on site to be filled with 1.5" diameter stone. When filled each unit weighs approximately 75 lbs. Units can be butted to one another or connected with cable ties to form long lines or staggered in other patterns. They can be moved by hand as required or left in place for long term applications. The many uses range from permanent vegetation establishment at the water/shore interface to mini soil retention structures, energy dissipaters in channels and ditches and many others.

AGES introduces a new, high strength polypropylene woven silt fence material that has a very high UV resistance, high flow rate, is extremely strong, and is made in Calgary.

It is an excellent silt barrier, and it's green colour helps it to serve as a warning barrier. There are high-strength reinforcing strips running along the length of the material, so that it may be more securely attached to stakes, t-bars or wire fencing. AGES green silt fence provides for both a safety barrier and silt fence in one product.

AGES Premium Silt Fence can be purchased from stock rolls of 30m (100ft.) lengths, attached to wooden stakes. It can also be purchased with a wire backing, or simply by the full roll of material - in 18", 36", 48" or 72" rolls.

Environmental Barricades consist of hollow plastic units that when filled with water can perform many functions. They are available for either purchase or rental.

   

Connections can be water-tight or can be made to allow water to filter out. They can be used as temporary berms around drilling sites, for temporary sedimentation ponds, flood control and other related uses. The barricades are also used to with a plastic liner to form temporary holding tanks for concrete sludge or drilling fluid disposal.

Tri-Lock is an economic alternative to articulating concrete mats, riprap and cast-in-place concrete. It consists of a lock block and a key block with a bevel at the interlock that enables the system to conform to changes in direction and contours of the surface. It can be top dressed with gravel or loamed and seeded to establish vegetation. This is an ideal product for drainage swales with pedestrian traffic, access roads, pipeline protection, shoreline protection, and other hard armour applications.
