Erosion Blankets/Mulches
A broad range of erosion control blankets are available for all types of applications, such as natural fibre photo- and bio-degradable blankets, and synthetic fibre blankets. Click here for a Project Update using SuperGro (PDF file) synthetic erosion matrix. A variety of mulches and tackifiers are also available. Geosynthetic permeable ditch barriers (Enviroberms) work hand-in-hand with erosion blankets in swales and ditches to reduce water velocity, causing the water to drop sediments, preventing sediments from migrating to waterways.

Silt Fencing
Brock White Geotechnical and AGES manufactures a premium grade silt fence in Calgary in a variety of sizes. This polywoven fence has a high UV resistance, high flow rate and is stronger than most other fences. Master rolls of material in widths of 18" to 72", and fences can also be obtained pre-attached to wood posts or wire backing.

Catch Basin Protection
We stock Sediment Control products for catch basins such as Gutter Guards, Mini-Weirs and Silt Sacks. Silt Savers are also available for purchase or on a rental basis. All of these products drastically reduce the amount of sediment entering the storm drain system.

Turbidity Curtains
Turbidity curtains are floating sediment barriers - they can reduce or entirely restrict the movement of suspended sediments and hazardous materials in water bodies. See the Project Updates section to find out more about turbidity curtains.
