Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCL)

Only AGES can provide you with the only made in Canada GCL - Bentofix Thermal Lock GCL. Bentofix consists of two outer geotextile layers with a core of sodium bentonite clay that forms a hydraulic barrier. Fibres from the nonwoven geotextile layer are needle-punched through the bentonite and locked into the other geotextile layer through the proprietary Thermal Lock process, increasing the internal strength of the Bentofix.

When hydrated under confinement, the bentonite swells to form a low permeability clay liner with the equivalent protection of one metre of compacted clay. Bentofix can be used as a liner for lakes, dugouts, lagoons, reservoirs and secondary containment areas. ASK ABOUT SUPPLY & INSTALL!

Plastics

Special plastics carried by AGES include HDPE and LLDPE (high- and linear low-density polyethylene), RPE (reinforced polyethylene), PP (polypropylene) and PVC (polyvinyl chloride). AGES can pre-fabricate panels to your required size, and can install and field weld or repair your liner systems.

These plastics can be ordered to be hydrocarbon resistant, fish friendly or safe for potable water, all with various lifespans.

Other Containment Systems

Sedimentation settling ponds can be assembled for you using Environmental Barricades, in a size suited to your needs. Use these to contain sludge or concrete and simple disassemble leaving a block of debris to be hauled away.

Insta-berms are fully collapsible secondary containment systems for spill containment that come in a variety of sizes, and can be custom fabricated.
